Abstract

The Mochi sub-sector company is a company engaged in the culinary industry .The problem in this company is innovation products are has not been done well. The purpose of this study is to find factors barrier and locomotion of product innovation PD.Mochi Lampion City Sukabumi. The method used in this study is qualitative and descriptive method with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation, data analysis methods used are data reduction and data presentation and conclusions or verification. The implications of indicators such as the relative benefits of the profits obtained can be in the form of economic benefits, social level obtained after product innovation, and in the form of achievements obtained by PD. Mochi Lampion Sukabumi City is like the level of consumer confidence in the quality of the Lantern Mochi products. Harmony or suitability of PD. Mochi Lampion, Sukabumi City, has made product innovations to adapt to previous ideas and innovations, Innovations previously carried out by PD. Mochi Lampion Kota Sukabumi is an innovation in the form of taste by not eliminating the distinctive features and quality from Mochi, the innovation of taste that is adjusts to what is desired and needed by consumers. the complexity of the innovations to be carried out is difficult to understand by adopters in PD. Mochi Lampion, Sukabumi City. The complexity in making this innovation can be seen from the process of making new products or new innovations, providing raw materials, ways to maintain the quality of innovation, and not eliminating the distinctive characteristics of the Mochi Lanterns when innovating. This makes PD. Mochi Lampion Sukabumi City has not made a product innovation that differentiates it from previous innovations. the easier the consumer sees the results of an innovation, the results of innovations made by the company can attract the attention of adoption recipients or producers. the possibility of being tried by conducting an innovation experiment, the company can find out more clearly about the weaknesses and strengths in innovating. This can affect the fast or slow innovation received by the company. PD. Mochi Lampion, Sukabumi City has not fully implemented product innovation.
