Abstract

The title of the research is Representasi Emotional Pain dalam Kumpulan Puisi The Sun and Her Flowers: Wilting Karya Rupi Kaur. The research was conducted to reveal the reasons why character I experienced emotional pain and analyze the representation of emotional pain that experienced by character I. The method of this research applied qualitative descriptive by means of psychology of literature approach. The grand theory of this research is diction and Kübler-Ross concept of stages of grief. Based on the result of the research, it is revealed that the trigger of emotional pain which experienced by character I is the break-up between her and her boyfriend since her boyfriend leaves her for another girl. The representation of emotional pain that experienced by character I is shown by in terms of denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance.
