Abstract

Hypertension is an increase in systolic blood pressure of more than 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure of more than 90 mmHg. Hypertension is a health problem in the world because it is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease and stroke. Hypertension can be treated with pharmacological and nonpharmacological therapy, namely by foot massage. This application aims to determine the application of foot massage to reduce high blood pressure in people with hypertension. This implementation method uses case studies. implementation of applying foot massage for 3 times in a row in one week. Giving foot massage is done for 30 minutes in the morning. The results obtained after carrying out the application were a decrease in blood pressure from 160/100 mmHg to 140/90 mmHg. It can be concluded that there is an effect of foot massage to reduce blood pressure
