Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of animated film media on the students' reading skill. This research was conducted at MI Gandasoli Sukabumi Regency in 2017-2018. The research method used is quasi experiment. In this study the sample was taken using saturated sample technique and divided into two groups, class I A as experiment group using animated film media while class I B as control group using direct learning with the help of power point media. The technique of collecting data is in the form of nontes with the instrument of reading reading of the beginning and test with instrument of objective matter of multiple choice form. The data analysis techniques used in the initial reading reading instrument are paired-samples t test and t test two independent samples. The results showed that the mean score of students obtained by the experimental class (22.83) was higher than the average control class score (18.40). In pairedsamples t test obtained sig value. (0,000) in the experimental class, while the sig value. (0.778) in the control class, which means H0 is rejected H1 accepted.
