Abstract

This study entitled "high school student retention through discovery learning model assisted by online comic media on respiratory system material". The aim of this research is to know the effect of discovery learning model by using online comic media aid to student retention ability. The research method used is quasi experiment. The design of this study was posttest and retest using cognitive problems. The sample consists of two classes in which one experimental class by using the model of discovery learning with online comic media and a control class by using guided inquiry learning model in handout media aid. Subjects in this study were students of class XI IPA even semester SMAN 4 Sukabumi. The results of the study were calculated using Z test obtained results Zhitung 2.11 and Ztabel 1.99 with a significance level of 0.05 and dk 68. Based on the data obtained from the results of research showed that there is influence of use of discovery learning model assisted online comic media to retention students.
