Abstract

Game enthusiasts, especially android games, are very high in Indonesia. Various groups ranging from children to adults have made games as a means of entertainment in their spare time. One of the most played game genres in Indonesia is the Role Playing Game or RPG genre. RPG itself is a type of game that makes a person feel like a character in the game and has strong acting and has complex story elements. This research aims to create an Android RPG game using RPG Maker MV software using the Finite State Machine method as flow control. The storyline of the game in this study is based on one of the heroic events of the Sukabumi people who fought to defend Indonesia's independence against Dutch troops (NICA), which occurred in the Bojongkosan Sukabumi region on December 9, 1945 which is known as the “Bojong Kokosan Battle”. The author hopes that this research can be a reminder, especially for the younger generation, about the forgotten battle in the Sukabumi region and add to the sense of nationalism and patriotism for the Indonesian state. This research development method uses the Multimedia Development Lifecycle (MDLC) where the research stages include Concept, Design, Material Collecting, Assembly, Testing and Distribution. This research succeeded in creating a game entitled "Battle of Bojong Kokosan" by applying the Finite State Machine algorithm.
