Abstract

Hypertension is a disease that cannot be cured and can cause complications, so it needs serious and affective treatment. Hypertension occurs due to an unhealthy lifestyle such as consuming alcohol, stress behaviour is rarely carried out and can be overcome by non pharmacological methods, nemaly progressive muscle relaxation therapy. The application of progressive muscle relaxation techniques to the pain was carried out for three meetings with the results of blood pressure being 120/90 mmHg and a pain scale of 0 from the range ( 0-10 ). Based on the results of the application of progressive muscle relaxation techniques, that progressive muscle relaxation therapy is affective is reducing hypertension blood pressure. It can be concluded that there is an affective effect and the provision of progressive muscle relaxation therapy to reduce hupertension blood pressure.
