Abstract

Diarrhea is excessive bowel movements more than 3 times in one day (Prawati & Haqi, 2019). Increased stool expenditure in children who suffer from diarrhea couses diaper rash such as diapers that cover the skin of urine and feces, friction and fungal and bacterial factors. Diaper rash can be treated with pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapy. One of the management of diaper rash with non-pharmacological therapy is to apply olive oil to the diaper rash. This paper aims to analyze the effect to giving olive oil on diaper rash in children due to diarrhea. This writing method uses a case study strategy. The author used olive oil to treat diaper rash in children due to diarrhea twice a day after bathing for three consecutive days. The results obtained after applying olive oil were that An. M genetalia seemed to be improving, there was no redness. So it can be concluded that threre is an effect of giving olive oil on diaper rash in children due to diarrhea.
