Appendicitis is an inflammation of the appendix that often occurs in developing countries. This disease can affect all ages of men and women, but attacks the age of 10-30 years. One of the problems caused is an infection in the lower right abdomen so surgery is carried out. One of the physiotherapy methods to reduce pain after appendicitis is the Benson Relaxation Technique. The purpose of this study was to analyze the application of the Benson Relaxation Technique to the pain scale in post appendectomy patients. This research design uses Case Study method. The sampling method used is purposive sampling. The sample taken is one respondent, namely a post appendectomy client with pain problems in Cikaret Village, Sawah Gede Village, Cianjur Regency. The data of this research were taken by using interview, observation, and documentation methods. The results of this study indicate that the Benson Relaxation Technique is effective in reducing the pain scale. After the action for 3 consecutive days the client's pain scale is reduced from 6 to 0. Seeing the results of this study, the Benson Relaxation Technique can reduce the pain scale in post-op appendectomy patients.
