Abstract
Research through the Pair Checks model aims to describe the learning process and increase the attitude of tolerance in students. The student participants studied in grade 5A in the study were 26 students. The method used is the classroom action research (CAR) method with the MC research model. Kemmis and Taggart consist of planning, research, observation and reflection stages. The instruments used in this study consisted of teacher activity observation sheets, student activity observation sheets, attitude assessment sheets, and questionnaire sheets. The results showed the teacher's activity in the first cycle scored 78 in the god category, the second cycle received a score of 90 with a very high category. Student activities in the first cycle scored 60 in the good, the second cycle scored 86 with a very good category. While the assessment of student tolerance in cycle I gained 49% with enough categories, and in cycle II gained 97% with a very strong category. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the Pair Checks model can improve student tolerance.
