Abstract

The research is entitled Representasi Persahabatan dalam Novel The House At Pooh Corner Karya A.A. Milne. The purposes of the research are to describe the representation of friendship and to describe the moral messages based on the representation of friendship in the novel The House at Pooh Corner by A.A. Milne. This research method employed in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. In general, the data were collected through Baca and catat techniques. In particular, data was taken from novels based on the interaction of a character was described the friendship component and the moral message in the novel The House at Pooh Corner by A. A Milne. Then, the reduction method was used in the step of the data analysis. Furthermore, in presenting the analysis, the data is explained descriptively in words. The finding presented that there are four components that underlie friendship in the novels The House at Pooh Corner by A. A Milne, such as the intimacy component, acceptance, trust and support. These four components have a moral message conveyed by the author to the reader, such as having to be able to live together, have a caring for others, be kind to everyone, and support each other in terms of kindness.
