Abstract

This study aims to improve Sundanese script writing skills through audio-visual media in high class. The type of research used is classroom action research (CAR) using the design of Kemmis and Taggart. Through 2 cycles ranging from planning, implementation, and reflection. The research participants were students of 5D class which numbered 27 students. The data collection tool uses tests and observation sheets. The results showed the value of Sundanese script writing skills in pre-cycle activities obtained an average percentage of 30% with a low category, in the first cycle obtained an average percentage of 78% with sufficient categories, then in the second cycle obtained an average percentage of 100% by category very good while the activities of the first cycle teachers get an average value of 81% with a good category, the second cycle gets a value of 92% with a very good category and the activities of students in the first cycle obtain an average value of 71% with a fairly good category, cycle II gets a value of 80 , 6% in the good category. The data shows that the transmission of audio visual media can improve the writing skills of Sundanese characters in class V in the Cibeureum Hilir Elementary School 5 academic year 2018/2019.
