Abstract
The lack of confidence of 5th grade students make them less enthusiastic in learning Social Sciences. This research aims to describe the social sciences learning process when using audio visual media and also to describe its improvements. This research is based on Classroom Action Research with 2 cycles of KemmisTagart model. Student enthusiasm test results, documentations, observation sheets, and field notes are included in this research. The participants are 24 students of 5th grade consisting of 11 male students and 13 female students. The research shows that in Cycle I, 62% (13) of students gained classical completeness, and it shows improvement in Cycle II with 87% (21) students gained classical completeness. According to the result, implementation of audio-visual media in social sciences can improve leaning enthusiasm of SDN SelabintanaWetan Elementary School of Sukabumi’s 5th grade students in the 2018/2019 academic year.
