Abstract

DENI SEPTIANA. 3031321011. Level of Farmer Adoption on the Application of 2:1 Jajar Legowo Planting System Technology (Case Study in Mekartanjung Village, Curugkembar District, Sukabumi Regency). Under the advisory of Reny Sukmawani and Ashrul Tsani. Agricultural development is essentially an effort to improve activities in the agricultural sector as an effort to utilize natural resources sustainably and to create social change. One of the cultivation technologies introduced is the Jajar Legowo Paddy Planting system, a paddy cropping pattern that alternates between two or more (usually two or four) rows of plants and one empty row. The research was aimed at analyzing the level of technology adoption of farmers on the application of 2:1 Jajar Legowo planting system. The method of determining the sample was carried out by Simple Random Sampling technique, where samples were taken randomly, namely as many as 30 sample farmers. The research area was determined purposively, namely the deliberate determination in Mekartanjung Village, Curugkembar District, Sukabumi Regency. The results show that farmers in applying the 2:1 Jajar Legowo cropping system gain a high level of implementation, but there are still few numbers who have not implemented so that it is necessary to provide education through an effective communication approach.
