Abstract
Vegetable farmers in cultivating cabbage vegetable crops often experience harvest failure due to disease and pests in the cabbage vegetable plant. So in this case the farmers must deal with the disease and pests so that the quality of cabbage vegetables are maintained and does not cause losses due to the occurrence of crop failure. not a few farmers who trouble in handling vegetables affected by diseases and pests due to lack of schedule extension (expert) to provide solutions to problems faced by farmers. For that required diagnosis of diseases and pests in vegetables. The purpose of this study is the production of programs that can diagnose diseases and pests in the natural vegetable crops. Subjects in this study is an expert system to detect diseases and pests in cabbage plants. Tracing the facts using forward chaining is a search that starts from the facts to test the truth of the hypothesis. The method of research that will be conducted using the method Descriptive method can be interpreted as a problem-solving procedure investigated by describing the state of the subject or object in the study based on facts that appear or what it is. there are several stages of research that will be carried out such as problem identification, data collection, data analysis, ongoing system analysis, system design, system creation, implementation, testing, and report generation.
