Abstract

The diesel engine is an internal combustion engine that carries out the combustion process using diesel fuel, the kerosene on the diesel engine, especially the Mitsubishi L300 Colt (Kol Bogor) diesel engine is very common and complained of by the users / drivers because the L300 Colt diesel engine is categorized as wrong one old diesel engine. Limited workshops and also experts / experts become an obstacle / problem due to damage to diesel engines cannot be followed up quickly and lack of understanding of the user / driver to damage certain components in diesel engines. With this problem can be overcome by using an expert system application. An expert system is a computer-based system that uses certain reasoning techniques, facts, and also knowledge to solve a problem. This application is website based. Consultation on damage to Mitsubishi L300 Colt diesel engine using the method used for Fordward Chaining. In the role of design there are stages that are carried out, namely using a structured system approach design. System implementation using PHP and MySQL databases and ends with blackbox testing. With the consultation of damage to the Mitsubishi L300 Colt diesel engine the user / driver can find out the damage to the diesel engine without having to consult / come directly to the garage.
