Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the use of online games with interest in biology of high school students in SMAN Sukabumi. This research used a research with correlational descriptive method with quantitative approach. The population of this study were a high school students in Sukabumi, the sample of this research is SMAN 1 Sukabumi, SMAN 2 Sukabumi, SMAN 3 Sukabumi and SMAN 4 Sukabumi. Technique of collecting data used likert scale questionnaire technique to measure the use of online game of high school student and student's biology learning interest. An online questionnaire was distributed in several schools that became the sample of the study. Data analysis techniques in this study used SEM analysis using LISREL and SPSS applications. The result of this research can be concluded that high school students in Sukabumi City 99% positive use online game with medium criterion (64%). While for the interest of biology student study of SMA Sukabumi have interest to study biology with medium criterion that is 67% from sample 440 respondents. The correlation results showed a that correlation of 0.295 with the value of R squere 0.87, which shows 8.7% use of online games contribute to biological learning interest. While 92.3% influenced by other factors.
