Abstract

Profitability and conformity production with consumer demand is a hope for every businessman. One of them is Ezhar Sandals Sukabumi, which has a business in sandal maker. There is over order production that becomes obstracle in company’s survivability because it worries not to comply with costumer desire. The problem is a different production time in each processing that makes company cannot have a tight control because there is no production target time. It shows that there is no production cost balance which can cause to production result and revenue is not maximal. The research aims at knowing production facility layout, which is implemented to Ezhar Sandals Sukabumi and knowing production facility layout based on layout product design to Ezhar Sandals Sukabumi. As an effort to make cost balance in production flow that is hoped to produce more product and more revenue. Research method applied quantitave and descriptive method. Based on research result, layout condition has efficiency level as much as 57% that means the exact operation time is not implemented optimally and balance day is 43% that means there is much waste time on Ezhar Sandals, which causes production result is not maximal and company revenue does not increase. If it is from time, produce waste time as much as 61,5 minute. Meanwhile if it applies layout product design, efficiency level as much as 98%, balance day 2%, and waste time 1,5 minute that means production activity efficiency of UKM Ezhar Sandals can increase to 98% if it applies layout product design. It can create production cost balance in order layout is better and can achieve company hope to increase production result and profit. It is suitable with the aim of layout product design that is minimize waste time and maximize efficiency.
