Abstract

Abstract This research is motivated by the lack of students' two-dimensional art skills in using media other than conventional media in learning Arts and Crafts. Therefore, other media are needed as an alternative means to provide experience and help develop art skills in SBdP learning. This study aims to determine the effect of using eggshells on students' two-dimensional art skills. This research uses a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design. The research subjects were class V at SDN Sriwidari 1 with 15 students in the experimental class and 15 students in the control class. The data collection technique used an interview guide as a preliminary study and a test sheet to measure students' art skills. Data analysis used the t-test to test the research hypothesis related to students' fine arts skills. The results showed that the two-dimensional art skills in the material for making regional art works in the experimental class had a higher average score than before being given treatment. Thus, eggshell media has an influence on students' art abilities
