Abstract

This research is motivated by the low level of creativity among students learning science subjects in class IV at SDN Simpenan, which indicates a need for improvement in order to enhance their learning creativity. The purpose of this study is to describe the planning and implementation of science learning using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model, with the aim of improving student learning creativity, as well as assessing the increase in student learning creativity after employing the PjBL model in science subjects. The subjects of this study were 22 fourth grade students from SDN Simpenan. The research design used was Kemmis and McTaggart's classroom action research, consisting of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation and documentation techniques, and were then processed using descriptive statistical techniques. The results revealed that the average value obtained in the pre-cycle was 2.28, indicating that student learning creativity during the pre-cycle was categorized as "less". In cycle I, the average value obtained was 3.08, which falls within the "good" category. In cycle II, the average value obtained was 3.53, also falling within the "good" category. Based on the findings of the study, it can be concluded that the PjBL model successfully enhances the learning creativity of fourth grade students at SDN Simpenan in science subjects.
