Abstract

Development is the process of organ maturation, especially the nervous system in children, such as gross and fine movements. Such as language delays, hyperactivity, motor skills in recent years have increased, the number of events in the world, in America, child development ranges from 12-16% in, 24% in Thailand, and 22% in Argentina, and 13-18% in Indonesia. In addition, almost 30% of children in West Java in 2020 experience developmental delays. So early detection and stimulation of exercise in children is needed to prevent developmental disorders. If this problem is not resolved, the child will continue to experience developmental disorders as he grows up. The purpose of this case study is to treat children at risk for fine motor development disorders with Jigsaw Puzzle play therapy. This research method was conducted by means of observation and interviews. Clients with the age of 5 years who are at risk of developmental disorders. The action taken was therapy playing Jigsaw Puzzles for 1 hour 6 consecutive days every 10.00 WIB. The results of the study show that clients who initially cannot arrange Jigsaw Puzzles neatly eventually become able to arrange Jigsaw Puzzles. Based on the results of observations and denver II, it can be concluded that Jigsaw Puzzle play therapy is effective for overcoming the risk of impaired fine motor development. The suggestion from this writing is that Jigsaw Puzzle play therapy can be used as therapy in dealing with the risk of fine motor development disorders in children..
