Abstract

Post partum is a period of 6 weeks from the birth of the baby until the reproductive organs return to their normal condition before pregnancy. Increased maternal mortality after childbirth caused by bleeding. One way to deal with bleeding is by doing oxytocin massage. The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of oxytocin massage on postpartum mothers in order to reduce the discomfort felt during postpartum. This research method uses interviews, observations, and physical examinations of participants taken as many as one respondent, namely post partum patients who experience a decrease in uterine involution, slow action to be given, namely oxytocin massage therapy for 2-3 minutes 2x a day within 3 days of this massage. good to do during the day and evening. The results of the study showed that the client experienced a decrease in uterine involution quickly after oxytocin massage. Based on these results, it can be concluded that after the action of oxyoxine massage therapy can accelerate the decrease in uterine involution in post partum patients, thereby reducing the discomfort felt by the patient. Suggestions for further research to be a reference so as to facilitate researchers.
