Abstract

Stroke is a disease that occurs in the brain in the form of local and global nerve function disorders, the emergence of which is sudden, progressive, and rapid. (Word Health Organization, 2014). In 2013, the results of the Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) showed data of 8.3 per 1000 population suffering from stroke. The author of this paper uses a descriptive method. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and physical examination. The conclusion of this scientific paper, the client, Mrs. N has raised several nursing diagnoses including activity intolerance related to physical weakness, communication impairment related to verbal inability to speak or unable to communicate, self-care deficit related to physical weakness. From the case studies conducted, nurses are expected to be able to provide adequate information to clients about stroke.
