Abstract

The increase in student fighting, especially in sukabumi district since 2017-2019, there have been 8 cases, so there needs to be a firm enforcement effort by the law enforcement officers themselves, especially the police officers. The problems in this study are: (1) How police efforts in tackling student fighting cases in sukabumi district. (2) How supporting factors and obstructions affect the police in tackling student fighting in sukabumi district. The problem approach method used in the writing of this thesis uses a normative and empirical juridical approach. The data used is primary and secondary data. The methods of data collection in this study are literature and field research. the respondents of the study consisted of Sukabumi District Resort Police, DP3A sukabumi district. The data analysis used is qualitative analysis. Based on the results of the study concluded that, the police as law enforcement officers are responsible for the sense of security and public order, in this case conducting efforts to combat student fighting in sukabumi district. These efforts include preventive efforts to prevent fighting from occurring in a way: (1) socialization to schools, (2) patrolling, (3) bringing down teams to conduct a series of investigations so that fighting can be prevented and to cooperate with the community so that the community will report to the police whenever there will be or is a brawl in the environment. And repressive efforts. This effort is carried out by (1) criminally convicting the perpetrator in accordance with the prevailing rule of law, (2) making an arrest against the perpetrator (3) implementing the rule of law in accordance with the child criminal justice system. As for the factors that influence the police in tackling the fighting cases in sukabumi district. supporting factors include: (1) Cooperating with relevant agencies, (2) Community Participation (3) Bhabinkabtibmas Role. Then the inhibitory factor is: (1) there is no deterrent effect for the perpetrators of the brawl and then only sanctioned in the form of coaching by the police, (2) the difficulty of obtaining witness information, (3) lack of supervision from the school, (4) the brawl is carried out at an unexpected place and time, (5) the lack of police personnel when conducting the pursuit of the perpetrators of the brawl.
