Abstract

Every building owner or user is required to carry out fire risk management which includes activities to prepare, mitigate, respond to, and recover from fire. The safety of occupants in the building and its environment must be the main consideration against fire hazards. Fire prevention efforts can be carried out by implementing a fire protection system consisting of equipment, accessories, and facilities, both installed and constructed in buildings. This study aims to determine the level of compliance with fire protection systems and the reliability of building safety against fire hazards. The method used is descriptive method with a case study design focused on PT. Happy Indonesia. Based on the research results, the level of fulfillment of access to and supply of water for extinction was 50%, the level of fulfillment for rescue facilities was 80.83%, the level of fulfillment of the active fire protection system was 90.67%, the level of fulfillment of the passive fire protection system was 75%. From the 4 (four) components, the building safety reliability value is 73.97% with the assessment criterion level "C" or Enough. This means that all components of a fire protection system are still functioning properly, but there are subcomponents that are functioning less than the one specified in the requirements.
