Abstract

OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF IRRIGATION NETWORKS BY UTILIZING GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS IN SUKABUMI DISTRICT (CASE STUDY IN CIKAHURIPAN IRRIGATION AREA). Moch.Zulhaedi Ramdhani. NIM. 1530121007. Irrigation has an important role in the agricultural sector in Sukabumi district, in Sukabumi district itself there are approximately one hundred fourty three (143) Irrigation Areas that support the agricultural sector. Of the many Irrigation Areas, a systematic and easy-to-do Operational and Maintenance is needed in order to create effectiveness in making decisions for irrigation Operational and Maintenance in Sukabumi. One way that can be done is by creating a Geographical Information System (GIS). GIS contained spatial data containing Operational and Maintenance data of an irrigation area in Sukabumi district. An example of an irrigation area being studied is the Cikahuripan irrigation area. The Cikahuripan Irrigation Area or D.I Cikahuripan is one of the irrigation areas located in Sukabumi Regency. D.I Cikahuripan, which was built in 1929, has a service area of 512 Ha. For this large area, performance assessment of Operational and Maintenance aspects (physical infrastructure, planting productivity, supporting facilities, personnel organization, documentation, and P3A) is necessary. In this study, a reference to the Regulation of the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Number 12 / PRT / M / 2015 concerning exploitation and maintenance of irrigation is used which is translated into the Irrigation System Performance Index (IKSI) so that it is easy to assess the performance of the Operational and Maintenance. In the results of this study, the final performance value of Operational and Maintenance D.I Cikahuripan is 70.50%, which means it is included in the moderate damaged category, and it requires handling recommendations in the form of repairs. After obtaining the results of the analysis, then the data is processed into a Geographical Information System (GIS) so that later in the Irrigation Area performance assessment (D.I) it can be done more easily and in real time regarding the existing conditions. By utilizing a Geographical Information System (GIS), it can make it easier to update data anytime and anywhere in real time, so that in making a job decision, for example in an irrigation network assessment, every decision to be made can be carefully calculated. For example, in making decisions regarding costs that will come out from the aspect of distance, topography, and priority handling.
