Abstract

EFFECT OF FLY ASH ALUMINA CONTENT ON THE CONPRESSIVE STRENGTH OF GEOPOLYMER PASTE. Okpin Dwi Nugraha. 3011311023 Geopolymer is an inorganic natural substance that is made through the process of polymerization. The main ingredient in the manufacture is flash which has a high content of silica and alumina. Geopolymer Binder is also more environmentally friendly because it does not use cement as concrete binding material. To dissolve this element and allow the occurrence of chemical reaction used NaOH solution as its activator. In this study used fly ash from different sources with varying chemical content. On this research strong press paste Geopolymer tested at the age of 7, 14, 21, 28, and 56 days. The materials used are fly ash Electric steam power plant Palabuhanratu, Suralaya, Cilegon, Cirebon, and Malang. Alkaline Activator uses sodium hydroxide (NaOH) with a concentration of 12 molars, and sodium silicate (Na2SiO3). The test object used is a cube with a size of 5 x 5 x 5 cm, with a pasta treatment method covered with plastic at room temperature. The maximum value of strong press pasta Geopolymer in this study Acquired 25.6 MPa obtained at the use of fly ash Malang with the age of testing 56 days.
