Abstract

JESI NURMALASARI. 2020. Identification the Potential of Ginger at the farm level. (Case study in Gegerbitung, Ciemas and Pabuaran Subdistricts, Sukabumi District). Under the guidance RENY SUKMAWANI and EMA HILMA MEILANI. This study aims to identify the planting area, production, productivity and potential of ginger processing at the farm level. This research is a case study in the Gegerbitung, Ciemas and Pabuaran Districts, Sukabumi Regency which was conducted using a survey method. The result showed that the potential of ginger based on the planting area of each farmer, the production and productivity as well as potential processed is still low. Even to the potential of processed not found of farmers who cultivate ginger into a variety of processed, farmers are selling fresh ginger directly to the middlemen. Based on extensive planting, the average farmers plant on an area of 0,16 ha, with average production of 15 tons/ha and average productivity of each farmer 48 tons/ha. With regard to the results of this study, it is important to designed a variety of strategies to develop so ginger in Sukabumi Regency can grow well in the planting area, production, productivity and processed.
