Abstract

The research was conducted at Pangan Sejahtera Pabrik Tauco Sukabumi City and aimed at implementing preventive maintenance activity at the company in order to decrease the number of product failure which frequently took place at Pangan Sejahtera Pabrik Tauco Sukabumi City. The research method was descriptive qualitative by means of fishbone method or frequently often called as cause and effect diagram by conducting unstructured interview to the employees of the company, especially the employees of production division. The technique of fishbone elaborates and solves the problem happening within the dimension of both variables, in terms of preventive maintenance and failure product. After being elaborated by fishbone diagram, problems are identified and cause failure of the product. As the fishbone method is utilized, the problems are explained by the researcher and solution is given. The company then implement the solution including the implementation of preventive maintenance and the change of the number of product failure takes place.
