Abstract

PT. FIFGROUP Branch of Sukabumi city is a company engaged in financial service business. The research was triggered by the problem identified in terms of decreasing Work Satisfaction which was predicted to be caused by Locus of Control and Occupational Stress. The research was aimed at determining the influence of Locus of Control (variable X1) and Occupational Stress (variable X2) towards Work Satisfaction (Y). The methods applied in the research were descriptive and associative. The techniques of collecting data applied were observation, interview, questionnaires, documentation and literature review. The techniques of analyzing data applied were commenced from preparing data, tabulating data to testing phase. Based on the data acquired from the result of analysis, it shows that the relation between locus of control variable towards work satisfaction is amounted to 0.254, while the influence of occupational stress towards work satisfaction is amounted to 0.418 and the amount of the influence of locus of control and occupational stress toward work satisfaction is amounted to 0.653. Meanwhile, the influence caused by other factors which are not included in the research is amounted to 57.3%. The result of Hypothesis Test is F count > F table which namely is 21.186 > 3.16 so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. It means that there is significant influence between Locus of Control and Occupational Stress towards Work Satisfaction. Implication for PT. FIFGROUP Sukabumi city is that the company shall be able to fix and improve its employee satisfaction through factors that can influence work satisfaction especially Locus of Control and Occupational Stress, and generally other factors out of the research. PT. FIFGROUP can fix and improve its employees’ work satisfaction through factors that can give influence.
