Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe implementation contextual teaching and learning model to improve student’s learning motivation of mathematics in high class. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with research design using Kemmis and Mc Taggart model as much as 2 cycles. Data collection in this research through questionnaire, observation and field notes. Participants in this study were students of class V as much as 42 students. The results of the pre-cycle study obtained the percentage of classical motivation 44%, increased in the cycle I obtained a percentage of classical motivation 67% and in cycle II to get 89% classical motivation percentage. This research concludes that the application of contextual teaching and learning model can improve students' learning motivation in the high class of academic year 2017/2018.
