Abstract

One of the problems faced in planning and designing the foundation is a decrease (Settlement), especially if the foundation is made on very soft soil (clay). The aim is to determine the carrying capacity of the palm foundation and interpret the decrease due to the addition of load based on the results of the CPT test data (cone penetration test) or sondir. Soil carrying capacity is the ability of the soil to support the load through the foundation without experiencing collapse. Collapse will occur if the shear stress that occurs exceeds the shear strength of the soil. While to calculate the carrying capacity with data from the sondir test results is to use the Terzaghi equation From the calculation of land subsidence at Jalan Sriwedari, Cikole District, Sukabumi City with incremental load increment can be concluded that the carrying capacity obtained at Sriwedari land at point number 1 (S1) for foundation dimensions of 1.50m x 1.50m with foundation depth 2, 00 m, obtained qult = 74.456 tons / m2, qijin = 29.782 tons / m2, Qijin = 67.01 tons The value of decrease obtained by a Simple Method With a workload of 10 tons obtained a total decrease of 0.0214 meters With a workload of 30 tons obtained a total decrease of 0.0642 meters With a workload of 60 tons obtained a total reduction of 0.1283 meters Sanglerat Method With a workload of 10 tons obtained a total reduction of 0.0095 meters With a workload of 30 tons obtained a total decrease of 0.0285 meters with 60 tons workload obtained a total decrease of 0.0570 meters. Calculation using two methods, namely the Simple method and the Sanglerat method gives different results where using a simple method obtained a greater total decrease.
