Abstract

Expert sistem is computer-based sistem that uses knowledge, facts, and reasoning techniques in solving problems that typically can only be solved by an expert in that field. Expert sistem is made on a specific area of expertise that is closer to a human's ability in one field. Expert sistem try to find a solution as did an expert. Expert sistem can also provide an explanation of the steps taken and give suggestions or conclusions discovery. Development of an expert sistem aimed at helping computer users to resolve the problem or damage to electric motor. The case of a electric motor malfunction is a case that requires the assistance of an expert (technician) in solving problems by relying on their knowledge. The sistem is built using forward chaining method. Forward chaining is used to examine the factors that put the rules stored in the sistem until it is concluded. This system is made by PHP language with codeigniter frameword and MySQL as database. after the implementation stage is completed, writer doing a testing by a regular users, administrator and an expert its self. And based on the results of the test, writer know that this system is working well. Writer also doing a expertise testing where the knowledge of this system is checked by an expert to avoid a mistakes when the system doing a consultation.
