Abstract

This research aimed to improve speaking skill types reported through Number Head Together (NHT) model for fourth grade students of Elementary School at Sukabumi. This research used classroom action research with cycle model by Kemmis and Mc Taggart. The research object was 30 students from class IV-C of Dewi Sartika Elementary School. The research was conducted in two cycles that equipped with data collection in the form of observation sheet, documentations, test result and field note. Application from Number Head Together (NHT) model is (1) preparation (2) numbering (3) questioning (4) head together (5) answering (6) conclusion and reward. The research shows that 17% (5 students) of students passed the pre-test, 60% (18 students) of students passed the Cycle-I, and 93% (28 students) of students passed the Cycle-II. This study concludes that through the application of Number Head Together (NHT) model can improve of speech type skills reported through Numbered Head Together (NHT) Model In High Class in academic year 2017/2018.
