Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine whether the use of lecture learning media ladder length affects the students math problem solving abilities. The research method used is quasi experiment involving two class groups. The research was conducted three times in the learning process, one pre-test, and one post-test in each class with the instrument of data collection in the form of math problem solving test. The research was conducted in SDN Cipanengah CBM with sample of 72 students in class IV divided into two classes, namely 36 students in the experimental class and 36 students in the control class. The learning media ladder length is used in mathematics learning in the experimental class. The result of the research on the use learning media ladder length in mathematics learning of the length measurement subject shows that the post-test average value between two classes show difference. The post-test grade of the experimental class is higher than the control class. It is seen based on the results of hypothesis testing using t-test two independent samples obtained sig value. 0.006 which is smaller than 0.05 so that H0 is rejected and H1 accepted. Then it is concluded that the use of learning media ladder length give influence to ability of problem solving of student math.
