Abstract
The research is entittled “Konflik dalam Petualangan Tokoh Charlie Pada Novel Nightmare Academy: Monster Hunters Karya Dean Lorey”. This research aimed to describe the conflicts in the adventure of thirteen years old boy in controlling his gift of ability. The research method applied in this research is descriptive qualitative method with objective approach. Data collected technique applied Teknik Baca, Simak, dan Catat based on Ratna’s theory (2010). This research applied Plot theory of Abrams (1999), Conflict theory of Nurgiyantoro (2015), and Adventure theory of D’Ammasa (2004). The result of the research showed that there are two kinds of conflict such as; External conflict and Internal conflict. In External conflict, the writer focused on social conflicts that happened to the characters. The writer also found events that triggered the conflicts to be occured by the characters either directly or indirectly through the other supporting casts. The events and conflicts were connected each other in the Nightmare Academy: Monster Hunters Novel.
