Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between arm muscle strength and flexibility of the wrist to the accuracy of long forehand service in the extracurricular badminton SMA Negeri 1 Kota Sukabumi. This research uses survey method.The population in this study are members of extracurricular badminton SMA Negeri 1 Sukabumi city amounting to 30 people.Sampling using total sampling.The instrument used in this study tests the arm muscle strength, wrist flexibility test and forehand long precision test service.The results showed that(1).There is a significant relationship between arm muscle strength and long forehand service accuracy.(2).There is a significant correlation between wrist flexibility to the long forehand service accuracy.(3).There is a significant relationship between arm muscle strength and wrist flexibility to the long forehand service accuracy. Based on the results of calculations using multiple correlation techniques obtained results Fcount (11,05) > Flist (2,56) with a significant level 0,05 then H0 rejected, meaning there is a relationship between arm muscle strength and wrist flexibility with long forehand service accuracy. With the calculation results Rx1x2y amount 0,666 with relatively strong category and construction simultaneously R2 x 100% = 0,6662 x 100% = 44,35% and the rest 55,65%.
