Abstract

The research is entitled Implemetation of Rental Flats Policy in Sukabumi Municipality a Case Study of Cikundul Rental Flats. The research aims to know implementation of rental flats policy in Sukabumi municipality, supporting factor, and obstacle factor in implementing by applying six dimensions based on Van Meter and Van Horn theory. The research was conducted at public works department, spatial planning, housing, residential and land area of housing and residential technical implementation section at Cikundul rental flats. The research type is descriptive qualitative with design of case study. The informant were 7 person, they were the head of rental flats management, rental flats management section, the employee of rental flats, and resident of rental flats on first to fifth floor. Data collection technique applied interview, observation, and documentation. Meanwhile data analysis applied data reduction, data display, and data presentation. The research result shows that implemetation of rental flats policy in Cikundul Sukabumi municipality is not implemented well yet. It is proved by lacking of human resources that is drying clothes facility, field employee, and a need-supporting fund for rental flats. Besides, it often occurs miscommunication that is caused by lacking of resident regulation socialization, there is no rental flats development forum, and the low of occupancy want from TPA Cikundul employee. The suggestion for housing and residential is to increase socialization with regulation of Rental Flats, to supervise and reevaluate Rental Flats implementation, and to form Rental Flats development forum.
