Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine differences in students' mathematical representation abilities using the STAD type cooperative learning model using conventional learning models. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Palabuhanratu in May 2023. This research was an experimental study with a post test only control group design. The population in this study were class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Palabuhanratu. The research sample was taken randomly, thus the research sample chosen was class VII-K as an experimental class consisting of 29 students and class VII-I as a control class consisting of 32 students. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that H0 was rejected, this indicates that there are differences in the ability of students' mathematical representations in classes that use the STAD type cooperative learning model with classes that use conventional learning models
