Abstract

Abstract. Character education is very important in the independent curriculum because it relates to strengthening the profile of Pancasila students. Strengthening the profile of Pancasila students can be done through the introduction of culture which is the character of students. Based on the introduction, it was found that there were problems in the nature of students, especially in the character of global diversity. The solution to this problem is to introduce students to media based on local wisdom. The purpose of this study is to improve the global diversity character of students in grade IV students by using Wayang Sukuraga as a learning medium. The research method used is Classroom Action Research using the Kemmis and McTaggart models, carried out with II cycles consisting of two lessons in each cycle. Participants consisted of 28 students, namely 14 boys and 14 girls. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation and questionnaires. Data analysis used quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that there was an increase from cycle I to cycle II, namely with the acquisition of an average score of cycle I of 73.03 and cycle II of 86.25. Thus it can be concluded that Wayang Sukuraga can improve students' attitudes towards global diversity characters.
