Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of investment on profitability at Tencent Ltd. The data used is secondary data in the form of financial statements of Tencent Ltd for the period 2008 – 2022. The method of analysis used is the quantitative method with multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination, t test, and F test by processing data using Eviews software version 10. The results of this research show that the Investment variable, specifically the Investment Cash Flow, has a partial effect, while Dividend Income does not have a partial effect, and both Investment Cash Flow and Dividend Income have a simultaneous effect on Return on Investment (ROI), which is the profitability variable in Tencent Ltd (with an influence level of 50.38%, while the remaining percentage is influenced by other factors not included in the research model). This condition indicates a significant change or improvement in profitability due to the use of investment cash flow and received dividend income
