Abstract
Elderly is someone who is 60 years old in the aging stage. Diseases that often occur in the elderly are non-communicable diseases (PTM) where one of them is Diabetes Miletus (DM). Understanding Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease characterized by increased blood sugar levels of insulin that is produced effectively. In 2021 the West Java Provincial Health Office has found a total of 46,837 DM sufferers. Diabetes mellitus can be treated with pharmacological and nonpharmacological therapy. One of the non-pharmacological management of diabetes mellitus is diabetic foot exercise. Purpose: this study aims to determine the application of diabetic foot exercise to the instability of blood sugar levels in patients with diabetes mellitus. This research method was carried out by observation, interviews, and literature studies. Participants were 1 patient in the implementation, namely the elderly with diabetes. This exercise is routinely done once a day for 30-45 minutes for 4 meetings. The results of foot exercise in diabetic patients were the first blood sugar level of 230 mg/dL and the blood sugar result after doing diabetes exercise was 165 mg/dL so it can be concluded that diabetic foot exercise can lower blood sugar levels. Based on these results, it was concluded that diabetic foot exercise can overcome blood glucose instability in diabetic patients, especially in the elderly
