Abstract
The main problem of mental disorders in the world is schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is a mental illness with significant disturbances in thinking processes and functions. The worldwide prevalence of schizophrenia is more than 70% of people experiencing auditory hallucinations. Auditory hallucinations are hearing voices that have nothing to do with real stimuli that other people can't hear. The aim of writing this paper is to provide a thought-stopping therapy application to reduce auditory hallucinations. The methodology used was case studies. The author provided nursing care including assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The thought-stopping therapy application was given to clients from April 21-30 2023. Before doing thought-stopping therapy, the client got a 32 (severe), and after the thought-stopping therapy was done, a score was 14 (moderate). It can be concluded that this application succeeded in reducing patient hallucinations. For educational institutions, thought-stopping therapy increases nonpharmacological literacy in psychiatric nursing
