Abstract
Elderly or what is called elderly is a group of human ages who have entered the final phase of their lives. Hypertension is an increase in systolic blood pressure of at least 140 mmHg or diastolic blood pressure of at least 90 mmHg. Hypertension can be controlled with pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapy. One of the nonpharmacological management of acute hypertension pain is the application of elderly hypertension gymnastics can reduce pain scale and blood pressure. This research method uses a case study strategy. Researchers conducted an elderly hypertension exercise application with 3 meetings, this exercise was carried out for 15-20 minutes. The results obtained when the elderly hypertension exercise was carried out showed that there was a decrease in the pain scale from 8 (0-10) BP 180/90mmHg on day 3 to a pain scale of 3 (0-10) BP 120/80 mmHg. It can be concluded that there is a significant influence of application of elderly hypertension gymnastics to acute pain with hypertension.
