Abstract

Background: Hallucinations are signs and symptoms of mental disorders in the form of sensory responses (hearing, sight, taste, smell and touch) to unreal sources. Hallucinations if not handled properly can result in patients injuring or injuring themselves, others and even the surrounding environment. Objective: The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of giving murotal therapy by listening to the holy verses of the Qur'an. Murotal therapy can provide good stimulation to the brain, Results: when a person listens to the holy verses of the Qur'an can give a relaxed, calm and comfortable response. In addition, murotal therapy can be used as a stress treatment. The results showed that listening to Qur'anic murotal therapy was very effective against reducing hallucinatory scores. Conclusion: the administration of Qur'anic murotal therapy can produce high waves that affect the brain stem so that it will have an impact on improving serotonin function. Suggestion: it is hoped that the actions that have been taught can be applied independently to control hallucinations and to support the continuity of patient health.
