Abstract

According to data from the Central Statistics Agency on Indonesian telecommunications statistics regarding the results of the 2021 Susenas survey data, as much as 62.10 percent of Indonesia's population have accessed the internet. Then other data in 2021, the Central Statistics Agency records that 90.54 percent of the population in Indonesia already have cell phones. This figure represents the openness of the Indonesian people towards the development of information technology, but has not yet supported the benefits of the world of education, especially in the field of chemistry. Formula chemistry is an android-based application that aims to make it easier to access chemistry learning and can increase interest in learning chemistry for the general public. This study uses the waterfall model because it has the advantages of a clear flow, and structured stages starting from the stages of requirements analysis, system design, system implementation and system testing. Formula chemistry is built using kotlin and sqlite. In the formula chemistry application, there are several features that can be accessed by users, such as an atomic structure calculator, acids and bases, and a solution calculator. Application testing uses the black box method. Formula chemistry will be more efficient in accessing chemistry learning.
