Abstract

Inventory is one of the main requirements that every business actor must have in a sales activity, because the goods traded in a sale depend on the supply of raw materials. However, in carrying out inventory, business owners often do not have records for raw material inventory, so a prediction system is needed for recording raw material inventory. This prediction system uses data mining techniques with the Single exponential smoothing method. This method is a short-term prediction method that assumes data fluctuates around a fixed mean value without a trend or consistent growth pattern. The data processed in this study is data on raw material purchases for the last 1 year with various types of raw materials. The expected result in this study is the prediction of raw materials in the next period with the prediction calculation using an alpha value of 0.1 for combed cotton fabric, the prediction result is 49 Kilograms with a MAPE result of 7% and is included in the very good category. As for baby terry fabric, the prediction results are 48 Kilograms for the next period with a MAPE result of 16% and including the good category.
