Abstract
Self-care deficit is a condition in which a person has a weakness to perform self-care activities, such as dress, make up, and toileting. This condition can lead to social isolation. The purpose of writing this paper is to apply personal hygiene occupational therapy so that patients are able to perform personal hygiene independently. The method used in writing this paper is a case study. Data collection techniques used consisted of observation, interviews, and literature study. The client of this self-care deficit case is Ms. R. Occupational therapy was carried out for three consecutive days. When implementing occupational therapy, the author used question sheets, observation sheets, and activity units. The results obtained were a comparison of self-care abilities before occupational therapy with a score of 18 out of 24, and after occupational therapy an increase of 23 from a value of 24. The conclusion is that the application of occupational therapy shows an increase in personal hygiene for clients.
