Abstract

Hypertension or often also called silent killer because has not symptomatic. Hypertension can be controlled with pharmacology and nonpharmacology's therapy. One of the nonpharmacological therapies is the use of boiled water from bay leaves. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of bay leaves boiled water on acute pain in hypertensive patiens. This research method uses a case study. Researchers use boiled water of bay leaves for 7 days with 2 times giving 100 ml of boiled water of bay leaves each after eating in one day, by checking before and after giving the boiled water of bay leaves. The results obtained after giving boiled water from bay leaves 160/80 mmHg to 130/80 mmHg with a painscale of 5 to 2. It can be conclued that there is an effect of giving boiled water of bay leaves on reducing blood pressure and pain in patients with hypertension.
