Abstract

Depression is a negative affective, which can cause extreme feelings of sadness, dissatisfaction, hopelessness to pessimistic thoughts felt by sufferers. This of course is influenced by the coping of each individual and will affect various life functions, such as affective, cognitive, physiological, and behavioral functions. The purpose of this study was to understand how the application of classical music therapy to Mrs. B patients of depression with mood disorders in Desa Selawangi. The method of writing this scientific paper uses anamnesis, interview, and participatory observation techniques with a nursing care approach that includes assessment, nursing diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and nursing evaluation. The results after applying classical music therapy for 6 days with a duration of 15-60 minutes per day, it was found that the client's level of depression decreased from moderate to mild mood disorders, so that they could live their life functions better. The results of this study can then be followed up so that it is expected to increase the knowledge of fellow health workers and knowledge for the general public, especially regarding the application of classical music therapy to depression sufferers with mood disorders.
